about me
Deleuze has been central to my research for many years, including his work with Félix Guattari and his readings of earlier philosophers.
My study of his work has involved extensive engagement with Leibniz, Spinoza, Kant and Nietzsche. I also teach the post-Kantian tradition, including Salomon Maimon, German Idealism, and Henri Bergson. My teaching covers the formation of modern French thought, Foucault’s archaeology and genealogy, and philosophies of difference.
About
I am a philosopher and teacher based in London. I completed my PhD at the Centre for Research in Modern European Philosophy (CRMEP). My thesis examined the influence of Gilles Deleuze’s teachers on his philosophy, particularly the lesser-known figures among them.
I founded the London School of Continental Philosophy to make contemporary European thought accessible to the wider public through close study and discussion, and to counter the declining presence of continental philosophy in the UK, particularly in London. The school welcomes around 100 students each academic year to courses held in Central London. We are currently working to expand its public programme through collaborations with local galleries and other cultural institutions.
Before founding the School, I taught philosophy for several years at colleges across London, including City Lit and the Mary Ward Centre. I have designed and taught more than 30 unique courses, from Plato and Aristotle to Kant, Hegel, Heidegger and contemporary French philosophy such as Deleuze, Foucault, Derrida, Blanchot and more.
Other courses examine language and psychoanalysis, contemporary political philosophy, contemporary aesthetics, and the philosophy of technology. Teaching across these subjects has given me a detailed knowledge of continental philosophy, that I draw on in my mentoring.
